Publisher's note: "A collection of 18th- and early 19th-century primary texts and images that represent various facets of the cross-cultural interaction between India and Britain. The anthology suggests that for a brief period -- while most Europeans were involved in projects of Empire and domination -- some British envisioned a convergence of cultures"-- Provided by publisher.
