nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - Formed in the age of muskets and carried into the high Victorian empire, the King's Royal Rifle Corps left footprints on battlefields across the world. Riflemen march through these pages. In this classic war nonfiction study, General Edward Thomas Henry Hutton traces the regiment's evolution from light infantry experiment to seasoned professional corps, set against the shifting landscape of European and colonial warfare and the wider story of the 18th 19th century British Army.A Brief History of the King's Royal Rifle Corps is a cornerstone british military history book and an authoritative regimental history reference, written by a senior officer who understood both the drill square and the field. Clear, vivid chapters outline organisation, campaigns and character, offering a rich strand of british army campaigns history and british rifle regiment history for military historians, students of the Victorian era British Army, and a finely grained reference for wargamers. As a rifle brigade history book in all but name, it sits perfectly alongside other titles in any serious British army regiments collection, illuminating how a famed corps adapted its tactics, discipline and identity to new wars and new technologies. Out of print for decades and now republished by Alpha Editions. Restored for today's and future generations. More than a reprint - a collector's item and a cultural treasure.…
