About Brian P. Martin Antiquarian and Collectors' Books
As the author of 28 books on the countryside, social history, natural history and shooting, and as a life-long collector of books, I have a particularly detailed knowledge of birds, wildlife and country sports such as gameshooting and fishing. My bestselling titles include Tales of the Old Gamekeepers, Tales of the Old Countrymen and The Great Shoots - Britain's Best Past and Present (now in its third edition), while my Sporting Birds of the British Isles won an international conservation award. My wide-ranging stock of topographical books includes titles on Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire, as well as London, Westmorland, Middlesex, Sheffield and lincoln; but I also have many other books covering other parts of the British Isles. Other special areas of interest include children's books, antiquarian, fine bindings, travel, motoring, cars, motorcycles and naval and military, as well as classic novels. Most prices range from £10 to £1000. I am always pleased to visit to view books - from single volumes to whole libraries - with a view to purchase, I offer a free booksearch service and will value books for insurance etc. My books are always very competitively priced and I always give detailed descriptions of books, with precise details of condition. I also provide as many pictures as possible of every book and welcome enquiries of any nature. The shipping/postage rates are guidelines for average weights only, to 1kg unpacked. If necessary an accurate shipping/postage cost, relative to the exact weight when packed, with choice of insurance and speed of delivery, will be given on request and/or at the time of order. For orders to Germany please contact me directly. I can be contacted any time on 07773 112101 or 01730 923179; email: brianphilipmartin@yahoo.co.uk

Shipping terms
Most of my books can be shipped to any part of the world or collected by arrangement. Orders usually ship within 2 business days and frequently within one day of cleared payment. Please note that the default ABE shipping charges do not necessarily apply and that in most cases my shipping charges are considerably less. The rate for first-class Royal Mail letter post or parcel post within the UK is often specified with the item description. Please advise if you would prefer second-class post, recorded delivery, special delivery etc. If an overseas rate is not specified please ask for a quote. Post and packing charges are kept to a modest limit reflecting the true cost. If extra insurance (such as through special delivery or international signed for) is not detailed but required then please ask for a quote. In any event, for Royal Mail items a certificate of posting will always be obtained. All books are very securely packaged.
