About the Author: Emmanuel Breguet is the head of archives and historical collections at Montres Breguet S.A., Paris and L'Abbaye, Switzerland. Martin Chapman is the curator of European decorative arts and sculpture at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco. His recent books include the Art of Bulgari: La Dolce Vita and Beyond, 1950 1990 and Royal Treasures from the Louvre: Louis XIV to Marie-Antoinette (both by DelMonico Books, Prestel).
