A great deal has been written on the different ways of raising queens but almost next to nothing on breeding the honeybee on a genetic basis.
This book covers a period of almost 70 years of unremitting effort and a first hand knowledge of virtually all races of honeybee. Sections include: The theory of breeding; practical possibilities in breeding and an evaluation of the breeding possibilities of the different races of honeybees.
Brother Adam began working with the bees at the age of twelve. He worked with bees for over seventy-eight years and became an international authority in the field.
