Corners are a bit bumped and rubbed. Black-and-white photographic frontispiece of a figure in uniform, with the figure's signature below that reads "James Fillis". There are a few light foxing blossoms on the frontispiece page and title page, but neither affect the lettering nor the plate. No publication date. Stated fourth edition. 359 pages. Interiors are clean and unmarked. 70 illustrations of horses. Translated by M. H. Hayes, F. R. C. V. S. signature between page 112 and 113 is a bit loose but binding is secure. Overall, a good readable copy.
