Item description from seller
Paperback. With the creation of new institutional settings by European integration, this book surveys and analyses the responses of unions and trade unionism at transnational European level. It focuses on their responses to the challenges they have faced.' European union movements played a central role in promoting a "Europeanmodel of society", a humane industrial relations system, high labor standards, generous welfare states, and collective political representation which reached its pinnacle in the post-World War II era.
