Print on Demand. This book is an innovative exploration of arithmetic, an essential branch of mathematics with roots that stretch back across millennia, that has widespread applications even today. The author approaches the subject from a practical perspective, considering the role of arithmetic in fields including economics, engineering, and accounting. Through this balanced approach, this book offers a fresh look at a subject that has, surprisingly, undergone little change in its fundamentals despite the immense technological and scientific advances of recent centuries. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…
