These 7.75 x 10.25 inch, volumes are two of the ongoing Boy Scout Yearbooks as published by the Boy Scouts of America. These two yearbooks date from 1929 and 1930, and are both in near fine condition. The 1929 yearbook with it's red-cloth over boards has the gilt lettering on the front panel still clean and bright and the black printing on the spine with the Boy Scout emblem. There is a touch of discoloration to the front edges of the cover and just a bit of corner wear but beyond that the 1929 yearbook is in remarkably nice condition. The interior text pages show virtually no handling or age damage with only a bit of browning to the pages to mention. The 1930 yearbook again has bright gilt lettering to the front and spine on the green cloth covers. There is five very small white specks on the front panel and again some bit of corner wear but again, the overall condition of this book is remarkable. The is an inked one-word name on the ffep but beyond that the text pages are in fine condition with again only a bit of browning. Both books publish short stories and information articles by numerous authors and probably some of the material may have been initially printed in the Boys Life magazine. There are numerous illustrations that are sprinkled throughout the text from various artists. These two books are beautiful in their presentation of entertaining and informative stories from the heyday of the Boy Scouts of America, when that organization was amongst the most popular youth group in the United States.
