About the Author
His professional research, writings, and keynote speeches range from original theoretical models to their applications of direct practical relevance to planning and policy making for sustainable agricultural development. His name has been listed in various international WHO’s WHOs, such as the “Marquis Who’s Who in the World”. He is a recipient of American Biographical Institute Gold Medal for Germany.
Indian Society of Agricultural Economics has instituted, in 2004, a biennial prize, “Professor Ramesh Chandra Agrawal Award of Excellence”, awarded to Indian scientists for their outstanding contribution to Agricultural Economics.
He writes poems in English and Hindi. This bouquet of some of the poems, written over the years, as a pastime, covers a spectrum of various shades and flavors of themes. These include, for example, ‘Definition of religion’, ‘In search of God’, ‘If you want to be happy’, ‘Hope: Never give up’, ‘Mastering destiny’, ‘You will never be alone’, and ‘Greatest treasure on earth’. The contents reflect author’s philosophy and thoughts that, he hopes, will have some positive advocacy for reader’s practical life.
