With the addition of a preface, occasioned by a late pamphlet, intituled, England's enemies exposed, &c (London: printed in the year, 1701) 3: A brief account of some of the late incroachments and depredations of the Dutch upon the English and of a few of those many advantages which by fraud and violence they have made of the British nations since the revolution, and of the means enabling them thereunto. (London: 1695) [Robert Ferguson by Wing and NCU pre-1956 imprints.] 4: The Late King James's Manifesto answer'd paragraph by paragraph. Wherein the weakness of his reasons is plainly demonstrated. Settling two shillings of the pound out of the rents of the houses in Norwich, for the maintenance of the parochial clergy of that city, in lieu of personal tithes. With a treatise vindicating the legality and justice of that award, and showing, That Personal Tithes, in lieu of which the said Payment of two Shillings of the Pound was Awarded, are still due by the Law of the Land, although they have been unjustly substracted ever since the Statute of the 2d. and 3d. of King Edward the Sixth, which took away the Oath whereby they are to be proved; And that there is a Necessity of again restoring them, or settling something else in lieu of them, for the Main tenance of Ministers in the Cities and larger Towns of the Realm.
