Paperback. Botanical ArtThe "Pen and Ink" images shown in this coloring book are samples of over 70 botanical drawings that have been the subjects of Donald S. Castro's collection of nature art. Botanical images in the pen and ink format lend themselves to soft or bold colors. The artist within you can follow the lines with many types of medians such as: crayons, makers, watercolor, colored pens and colored pencils to make the drawing come alive with just a small amount of color. One of the exciting features of botanical drawings is the simplicity of the picture but the detail truly captures the beauty of nature. Botanical illustration is the art of depicting the form, color, and detail of plant species. They must be scientifically accurate while also having an artistic component. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.
