1889. New And Enlarged Edition. 519 pages. This is an ex-Library book. Quarter bound in leather with cloth covered boards. Book has been rebound by library, with expected inserts, stamps and inscriptions. Black and white illustrations throughout. Moderate foxing and tanning to pages. Much heavier and more prominent to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpapers. Moderate cracking to gutters and hinges, exposing netting and causing some looseness to binding but pages remain attached. Boards have moderate corner bumping and edge-wear with visible tanning, peeling and scuffing overall. Spine has heavy chipping, rubbing and tanning with noticeable splitting and crushing to ends.
