Item description from seller

fasimiles or letters with engravings of their residences as wll as one or more portraits. viii, 114p. TIssue guards are present for almost all plates and facsimiles throughout this volume. Bound in at the end are what appear to be 11 miscellaneous plates (Nos. LVII, XLII, XLI, LXII, LXI, LX, LVIII, LIX, XXXVI, XXXV and XXXIV) which probably came from a mid-19th century edition of Spohr's "American Historical and Literary Curiosities." Scattered foxing, mostly modest and mostly on tissue guards or the Spohr plates. The book has been rebound in a modern maroonish(?) cloth with no cover titling. 35 cm. The new endpapers remain a bit aloof from the contents. One of the former owner's children said that her father did some amateur binding and that she thought he might have done this one.
