291 pages. 5 OF THE 16 PLATES ARE MISSING. Book has dark green boards with a most ornate Arabic-stlye pattern of decoration in gilt and black to front and spine; blind, impressed decoration to back board. All end-pages are gilt, end-papers are olive green. Illustrated with b/w plates with tissue guards. Wear to spine-ends and corners which are ragged. Faint dark marks to title pages and margins within text, otherwise clean. Binding is weak, no pages are out/free, but some sections are loose - binding needs tightening at some stage, book at present needs careful reading. A most attractive old volume.
