Leichte Gebrauchsspuren; Leichte Verschmutzung / Farbtonveränderung. An epic fantasy unfolds as Lucifer and the Creator engage in a high-stakes wager that could determine the fate of creation itself. Nine-year-old Joby Peterson, born in California during a tumultuous era, dreams of heroism but battles crippling self-doubt and mediocrity, inflicted by an incomprehensible enemy. The angels, unable to intervene, grapple with their loyalties as they witness Lucifer's relentless efforts to corrupt Joby's pure heart while God appears indifferent. As Joby matures, his once vibrant love for life dwindles, seemingly sealing Lucifer's triumph. Hope flickers in a forgotten seaside village, where its peculiar residents challenge modern assumptions, and in the hearts of Joby's lost love and her troubled son. Yet, destructive forces pursuing Joby aim to exploit these connections to bring about his downfall. As the final confrontation looms, a pivotal question arises in both heaven and hell: will love or rage prevail? This tale weaves a rich narrative that resonates with contemporary themes, establishing itself as a modern classic in fantasy literature.…
