Area of loss approximately 2 cm by 1 cm to foot of spine of dustjacket. 1 cm closed tear to top edge of front panel of dustjacket. Dustjacket chipped and nicked along its top and bottom edges. Small 4to, i-xii, 296 pp, black and white frontispiece, 39 black and white photographic plates from photographs by the author, original green decorated cloth, tear to the top left hand corner of the page giving the list of illustrations, previous owner's neat signature on the reverse of the front free end paper but a very good bright copy.
