A beautiful representation of The Book of Esther--a curious and exciting presentation of a story that is a unique intermingling of chance and divine providence. While its plot appears random, and chance-filled at first, Esther is an invitation to see it as a fateful encounter with God. It is an encouragement to all of us, to watch and to listen--with curiosity and attentiveness--for the implicit workings of God in serendipitous moments. It may not be explicit or how we would expect, but certainly God is there. Alabaster's approach reimagines the entire experience of the book. Incorporating images that illuminate the themes and messages of the text, this book will help the reader engage scripture in a fresh way. The Book of Esther in the New Living Translation (NLT) is great for Bible studies, church groups, or individual devotional times. Alabaster creates with the reader in mind--including careful use of negative space, legible typefaces, and layouts that allow a thoughtful exploration between text and images.…
