Pagination 81-96; with text and full-page & in-text monochrome illustrations - mainly posed action photographs with facsimile signatures of the Australian touring side of Darling, Trumper, et al. Original green card wrappers printed in black; front with title, list of contents and John Hassall illustration, rear with Fry's Cocoa advertisement featuring W. G. Grace; advertisements on insides of both front and rear. Front wrapper sunned over uppermost 3" (7.5cm) and to lesser extent towards other edges, rear slightly sunned towards edges. Hardcover. Condition: Fair. No Jacket. 1st Edition. Bound in red this copy is from (I think) 1899. The outer front cover has become detached from the block but is still attached at the back. There are the usual bumps and scrapes to the outer boards but the text and photographs are very well preserved within. 256 pages of articles and individual posed photographs of the great players of the time, with some pictures of county teams.
