Item description from seller

An excellent leather-bound Book of Common Prayer, complete with functioning clasps depicting the monogram of the Swedish Royal Family. The Book of Common Prayer is used by Anglicans, with this edition printed for the Church of England. It first appeared in 1549 following the English Reformation, and has seen many different versions, editions and reprints.Bound in a very smart leather binding with blind stamping to the boards and spine. The leather clasps display the monogram of Prince Bertil, Duke of Halland, a member of the Swedish Royal Family as the third son of King Gustav VI Adolf. In a contemporary full strain grain morocco binding with clasps. Externally generally smart, with just some slight bumping to the head of the spine and a touch of wear to the joints. Clasps are functioning perfectly. Prior seller's pencil inscription to the verso of the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Very Good Indeed.
