After all, magic is illegal in the city of Chail. And the consequences for being caught using it are severe. However, when he and his friends get in too deep with a notorious crime boss, Asher must decide exactly how he wants to use his powers. And he needs to make his decision quickly because magic is weakening; it's becoming harder and harder to call the shadows that used to leap to his command. Lilah has spent her life training. As a member of the city guard, one of her responsibilities is to track down and arrest Casters (those who use magic)-and she's very good at her job. Almost as if she has a special sense for magic. She's determined to protect her city, especially since her grandmother is the current general of the guard, and Lilah has her eye on taking over that role one day. But when systems in the city begin to falter and break down, Lilah dives into the mystery of what is going wrong. What she discovers stuns her: magic is illegal in Chail, but what if the very thing it's denied is exactly what the city craves Told from the dual points-of-view of Asher and Lilah, The Bone Bridge tells the story of a city of secrets, where everything is not as it first appears and the truth may be very deeply buried.…
