Dravelle Flamecrest did not come to Stormnest to kneel.
She came to make the tower listen.
After Ashvale rises from silence and the dragons remember what the academy buried, Stormnest’s oldest law strikes back. Gravik Firevale is chained beneath the core bell of the trial tower, accused by the same system that used his family’s grief as a leash.
Dawn will decide whether he is traitor, weapon, or witness.
Dravelle has proof, dragon memory, forbidden testimony, and a bond the council calls contamination. But truth is not enough when the people in power wrote the law, built the tower, and taught the bells to call obedience honour.
To free Gravik, she must do more than expose Lord Varnek Pyre.
She must put Stormnest itself on trial.
Gravik was trained to believe command kept the sky alive. Now, stripped of rank, chained by blood pledge, and marked by a love the tower cannot own, he must decide what remains of a captain when obedience is no longer virtue.
Their bond has survived exile, storm, memory, and betrayal.
But the final vow will ask for more than love.
It will ask them to face the realm together, not as protector and protected, but as equals with different scars.
The bells are cracking.
The dragons are gathering.
And the last wingbeat is ready to become the first free flight.
The Bonded Rider’s Vow is Book Three in The Queen of Dragonfall, an adult dark dragon romantasy trilogy with forbidden flight bonds, dragon memory, academy betrayal, broken bells, a powerful scholar heroine, a morally grey captain, political danger, and a hard won romantic finale.
