Scarce title condensing the views of the nascent Emmanuel Movement, founded by these two authors, in attempt to include medicine, psychology, and other practices into the church. This distillation of their views, here over 376 pages in blue cloth boards, is uncommon in any format. The copyright date states 1932 on the main title page, 1931 on the Scribner colophon. This copy is sturdy, well bound despite a slight lean or slant and slight sense of its age. Should hold up very well. Interior is mostly clean, with 2-3 pages of pencil notes all the way in the back of the book and nowhere else inside. Quite interestingly this copy contains the name and adress of co-author Reverend Elwood Worcester in the very back on the rear free endpaper, written in ink. Doesn't appear to be his penmanship, but its hard to be sure. The front pastedown and front endpaper have 3 stamps between them, denoting Christ Church Lending Library. There is also a very small bookshop sticker affixed to the rear pastedown. Blue boards are clean, with light wear at the very corner tips, minor softening to cloth at the very tip of crown and foot of spine cloth, some other minor areas of rubbing, but altogether attractive, with lettering on spine still quite bright and legible.
