Couple of small tears to back of D/J. Foreword by Michael Parkinson. Bob Wilson was one of the best and certainly one of the bravest goalkeeper of his day, and when that successful career came to a close, he went on to become even better known as the popular and friendly face of television sport. In this absorbing book, he recalls both careers with insight and affection, aided and abetted by stories of the leading personalities in football and braodcasting, whom Bob has known for the last half century and whom he brings to life in all their rich and varied character. But behind his successful public persona, Bob has had to cope with more family tragedies than most people - two older brothers killed in action in the Second World War and the death of daughter Anna from cancer. He writes of how he has come to terms with these losses, and recounts how, together with his wife Megs, he has set up the charitable Willow Foundation in Anna's memory. Illustrated. 322 pp.

Bob Wilson's intriguing and candid autobiography makes for fascinating reading. He spent 39 years at Arsenal, as player then as the first goalkeeping coach in the first division.
Following his retirement as a footballer, a career in TV beckoned, making Bob Wilson a household name. His days as a sports commentator and presenter at the BBC and subsequent switch to ITV are reflected upon, as well as his account of the Grobbelaar trial and his relationships with some of the most popular names in sport and TV, including Des Lynam, Jimmy Hill and David Seaman. He also has affectionate memories of Jill Dando and Helen Rollason, and tells the moving story of his daughter's illness and legacy.
