In late 1942, eighteen volunteers from the Calcutta Light Horse unit were engaged by the British secret service for a dangerous mission. A cargo ship in the neutral waters off the Indian coast had been broadcasting Allied shipping information to Nazi submarines. The story of how these brave civilians, mostly middle-aged businessmen and part-time soldiers, posed as a band of drunks playing a prank on the cargo ship is one of the most unique tales from WWII.
