Born In The Ashes (BITA) VOLUME 2 The Blue and You: The Cop’s Son Edition; is the COMPANION NOVEL to BITA VOL #1 & BITA VOL #3
"Newtone" Roberts never wanted to be a cop—he wanted to be a legend. But when his family is slaughtered before his eyes, his past catches up to him in a way he never saw coming.
A former hustler turned devoted father, Newtone thought he had buried the streets along with his old reputation. Dominic Masiello, a ruthless mob boss with a personal vendetta, has other plans.
Striking when Newtone least expects it, Masiello sets the stage for a bloodbath, forcing him into a deadly game of survival. The bullets fly, the bodies drop, and the only thing more dangerous than the enemies on his trail is the rage boiling inside him.
Now, Newtone must navigate a world where loyalty is a liability, justice is a myth, and vengeance is his only salvation. As he battles Masiello's forces, Newtone's past as a street legend resurfaces, proving that some names never die-they become nightmares.
Blending heart-pounding action with raw emotion, The Blue and You: The Cop's Son Edition is a gripping crime thriller about family, betrayal, and the cost of redemption. In this high-stakes battle, will Newtone find justice for his family, or will he become another casualty of the streets he once ruled?
Can his Partner Thaddeus help?
And will the cops' sons over come it all?
For fans of gritty crime dramas and relentless revenge thrillers, This is one story you won't forget.
Lessons & Takeaways from Bita Vol. 2 – The Blue and You: The Cop’s Son Edition
At its core, this book is about cycles—how they begin, how they persist, and ultimately, how they are broken. It explores the weight of legacy, the cost of loyalty, and the fine line between justice and corruption.Through the lives of Thaddeus, Charlie, Elijah, and Raymond, we witness the consequences of choices made in desperation, the complexity of family ties, and the struggle between duty and personal morality.Key Lessons & Themes:
- The Weight of Choices – Every action has consequences, whether seen immediately or felt generations later. The decisions we make today can shape the lives of those who come after us.
- Loyalty vs. Morality – The story challenges the reader to consider where loyalty ends and morality begins. When does protecting those we love become the very thing that destroys them?
- The Cost of Corruption – This book sheds light on the ways power, greed, and fear can erode integrity. Even those with good intentions can find themselves entangled in forces beyond their control.
- Fatherhood & Redemption – Thaddeus, Charlie, and Raymond each represent different aspects of fatherhood: sacrifice, misguidance, and the hope for a better future. Through their journeys, we see how true redemption is not found in words but in actions.
- Breaking the Cycle – The most important theme in this book is transformation. No matter where we come from, no matter the burdens of our past, we all have the ability to change—to choose a different path, to end toxic legacies, & to build something better for the next generation.
The Moral of the Story: No one is perfect, and self-destruction leads to ruin. True strength lies not in upholding a false image but in having the courage to change. Breaking the cycle of violence, corruption, and trauma is the only way to build a future worth living for.
I hope this book resonates with you, If there’s one thing to take away, it’s this:
You are not bound by your past.
You are not defined by the mistakes of those before you.
You have the power to choose a different path.
Thank You for reading. Stay strong. Keep pushing. & never stop rewriting your story.
