Calling for a radical stepping out of the empty trappings of post-modernity, Sanders confronts the illusory state of the black world by challenging it to analyse and redefine itself in light of certain relevant truths. His prophetic critique takes a fresh perspective on the oppression of black people throughout the world, arguing that the blame lies not with white people, but with black people for choosing the routes of integration and neo-colonialism, and invites people of African descent to recover the meaning of their past as an alternative source of value.
