Paperback. "Stephenara.Stephenara." My voice tolled, its echoes hollowed, swallowed and sundered my body, my heart, my soul, the classroom, the very air around me. I couldn't breathe. I crumbled like stale cake to my knees. Every particle of air had become a needle-fine claw, digging into each microscopic cell, hooking out everything that formed me -- scattering a red mist of pain. Blood splatter. My daughter was gone. I wanted to die, yet beneath, primal, I wanted to kill." BLOODPACT This Christmas, after all the presents are exchanged and opened, oohed and aahed over, cozy up to three of the best stories you'll read all year: BLOODPACT, CURVATURE and RAISING HELL: ORIGINS: SOUL OF A MAN. In BLOODPACT, Laird embarks on a mission to execute the predator who took the life of her only child. Despite being under scrutiny by the South Beach Police Department, she succeeds. She manages to do so because of a long dead secret that keeps her always one step ahead. In CURVATURE, our formerly powerful CIA, who long followed the edict "Mission First, Family Always" is no more. Now the rot from the top down, center outward, grows daily, with mission failure to show for it An elite force of true believers go rogue to flush out the traitors within this once-vaunted organization -- or they will die trying. In RAISING HELL Det. Sardonyx is a cop on the edge of burn-out. When he experiences supernatural occurrences, he engages the help of Midnight, a mysterious occultist and takes a dive down into hell, where he emerges reborn and fights the very real demons on the South Beach Police Force.
