Set against the tense backdrop of the American Civil War, when the blockades of Confederate ports grew evermore vigilant, the captain and his skilled crew defied the odds time and again to smuggle valuable cargo across the choppy seas. Their illicit missions were more than just daring escapades in the face of danger, however. The author deftly interweaves the suspenseful tale of the Foxhound with a seamy subplot of treachery and conflicting loyalties. The reader is taken on a thrilling historical adventure, providing a vivid glimpse into the infamous blockade running trade and its pivotal role in shaping the course of the Civil War. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…
