Softcover book in NEAR FINE condition. Tenth printing, 1980. 98 pages. Attached map of Block Island endpaper, illustrations from photographs; original pictorial light blue wrappers; light sunning on spine, else fine. Actual book is pictured. See images provided. Tight binding. All pages clean without any markings or folds. This little volume is a patchwork of innumerable small scraps of information gathered together from sources far and wide by one who loves Block Island for those who would know it better. It is not intended to be a history but a short narrative interlaced with bits of history, folklore and legends of Rhode Island's only insular township. [From the Foreword].
