Photographic wraps with B&W photos on front and back panels. Signed and inscribed on first page by curator Denis Agnew. Wraps and interior pages have small puncture wounds, evidently from having been stapled. Rear panel has dogeared corner at top. Interior clean and tight with no markings. This is a catalog of photographs from the exhibit "Blitz Images," held in March 2001 on the 60th anniversary of the WWII blitz of the town of Clydesbank, Scotland. On March 13, 1941, for nine hours, Nazi bombers mercilessly pounded the industrial town. When dawn broke and the "all clear" sounded, Clydebank's shocked citizens emerged from their shelters into an unrecognizable town. Some 48,000 refugees were left homeless; many never returned. Clydebank was still burning that evening when the bombers returned to a nearly deserted town to complete their task. When the drone of the last bomber had faded, 528 lay dead and more than 617 had been seriously injured. Many hundreds more were wounded by shards of exploded glass. Clydebank suffered a massive loss of housing-- 4,000 completely destroyed, 4,500 severely damaged and 3,500 with serious to mild damage. Only seven houses out of a total of 12,000 remained intact. Many large schools and churches were destroyed. Nice copy of an extremely scarce item. Size: 8 x 6". Bookseller Inventory # 001860
