Accounts of supernatural predators date back to the earliest written histories - and they are global. Marberry and Kramer, the Bram Stoker Award-winning authors of The Cryptopedia (Citadel, 2007), here go beyond the folklore to show how and why supernatural predators have become pop culture stars. They Bite presents the myths in full detail along with provocative explorations of why beliefs in vampires and other monsters have developed and endured. Features biting commentaries by modern masters of the macabre like John Carpenter, Peter Straub and Jack Ketchum.
