A Bit of Our World is a poetry book consisting of three sections: "nature", "life and feelings", and "fantasy and thoughts." Through a poetic weaving of words, it gives a unique take on the roller-coaster of emotions and events that course through our hearts, as well as the flip side of the natural beauty our Earth possesses. In this book, the magic of life through this world we walk and breathe in is put into patterns of every-day thought and feelings.
"Sarah Sun's command of poetic devices and techniques puts readers on notice that she is a writer worth watching. Her poems cut across a wide range of topics and styles, and she uses our language in ways that make us pause and reflect; she paints vivid pictures and leads us into thinking about themes and ideas in ways that we might not have anticipated."
-- Gabriel Carras, Chairman of the English Department, Great Neck South Middle School
"A beautiful look at the world through the eyes of a young poet."
-- Sheri ArbitalJacoby, Writer
"I've been following Sarah's poetry for a couple of years now and have been impressed by her talent and creativity. She has a really unique voice and perspective and it really shines through across her writing and the community she has built around herself!"
-- Sydney Liu, Co-founder of Commaful: The World's Largest Multimedia Fiction Site
