pp. xiv, 290p, +final page of errata, has the additional engraved frontis and title page separated by a tissue guard, internally very good, NOT FROM A LIBRARY and indeed completely clean from any former owner markings, but we are only grading Good as the original brown cloth binding is showing its age. The gilt lettering to the spine reads, 'Horton's Birmingham'. As well as making 'additions and emendations' to the text in this second edition of the poem the author provides an introduction as well as a 187 page appendix giving a history of the city. The poem itself takes up less than 90 pages, so the appendix takes up twice as much.
