Immediate dispatch from Somerset. Nice book in great condition. Pages in excellent condition. Hardcover. English. See images for condition. About the book >.>.> There are more than one thousand species of threatened birds in the world; many others are valued for sport, and a few are serious pests. All these require management of one kind or another. At the same time, detailed population studies are being made of numerous individual species by field ecologists. The managers and the ecologists seldom meet, yet they have important contributions to make to both each other's and everyone else's understanding of wild bird populations. This book results from a meeting in which representatives of all aspects of bird population studies were gathered together. It was the first major meeting of its kind, and the papers provide a valuable insight into the current understanding of bird populations. (MP).
