This book provides the fundamental aspects of bionanomaterials and bionanotechnology, and insight into the synthesis and modification of bionanomaterials in a detailed manner. It initiates with a general overview of biotechnology and nanotechnology followed by different strategies and methodologies for the synthesis of nanomaterials. Further, it discusses pertinent topics such as protein engineering, analysis, mechanisms of microbe- mediated nanosynthesis, followed by various challenges and innovation strategies, and the role of enzymes in bionanotechnology.
Features:
This book is aimed at graduate students and researchers in materials sciences, biotechnology, and bionanotechnology.
Ajaya Kumar Singh is currentely working as Professor at the Department of Chemistry, Govt. V.Y.T.PG. Autonomous College, Durg (C.G.), India. He received his Ph.D. degree on Kinetics and oxidation from University of Allahabad Uttar Pradesh, India. His research focuses on multiple areas such as developing strategies, based on synthesis, characterization, properties modification, design, fabrication, characterization of nanostructures, quantum dots, perovskite materials and photocatalyst for waste water treatment, Advanced oxidation processes etc. He has more than 170 publication including various book chapters in peer reviewed journals, with total Citations as <5960, h-index being 20. Under his supervision 1 post-doctoral and 15 doctoral students received award. He received various awards. He is recognised as reviewer from many peer reviewed journal. He is also the member of various professional societies (12). He has also completed various state (CCOST) and national level (DST/SERB) projects and presently one International project (India-Bulgaria Bilateral Program) is ongoing. His research has contributed significantly towards the fundamental understanding of nanomaterial for water treatment.
Bhawana Jain received her doctorate degree in year 2011 from Govt. V. Y. T. PG. Autonomous College, Durg (C.G.), India. She achieved prestigious fellowships from UGC (Postdoctoral Fellowship for Women) and worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Govt. V.Y.T. PG. Autonomous College, Durg (C.G) India. She has 15 years of Research experience. She is actively engaged in the development of nanomaterials (CeO2, graphene oxide, ZnO, CuO, NiO, etc.), based nanobiocomposite for wastewater treatment containing different pollutants, dyes, drug, organic matter etc. Dr. Bhawana Jain has publihed thirty (30) international research papers and 10 book chapter with total Citations as <300, h-index being 10. Her research work findings are also presented in various National and International (USA, Netherlands) platforms such as conference/seminar/symposium etc. She received Certificate of Merit from American Chemical Society, USA in 2016.
