This essential blueprint for mastering 3D and 4D-printed biocomposites delivers the exact materials science, fabrication methods, and regulatory insights you need to pioneer the next generation of patient-specific, bioactive medicine.
The emergence of 3D and 4D printing technologies have transformed biomedical engineering by making it possible to create dynamic tissue constructs, implants tailored to an individual patient, and functional biomaterials that work with human physiology. The combination of natural and synthetic materials, known as biocomposites, has become a potential approach for constructing structures that are both biologically active and mechanically strong. This book gives readers a thorough understanding of biocomposites and their applications, offering a comprehensive outlook that incorporates biomedical applications, fabrication methods, materials science, and regulatory considerations. It emphasizes both core information and specialized applications, giving readers a complete understanding of how 3D and 4D printing are revolutionizing healthcare by providing patient-specific, functional, and bioactive medicinal solutions. Integrating developments in materials science, bioengineering, and clinical applications, the book is an invaluable resource for researchers, biomedical engineers, physicians, and clinical experts, providing readers with both the theoretical foundations and practical insights needed to realize the potential of biocomposites in next-generation regenerative medicine.
Readers will find the volume:
- Provides an overview of biocomposite materials for advanced 3D and 4D printing in regenerative medicine;
- Uses an interdisciplinary approach to link materials science, biomedical engineering, and clinical applications;
- Emphasizes emerging fabrication techniques and smart biomaterials;
- Provides translational perspectives for research, innovation, and medical implementation.
Audience
Research scholars, students, biomedical engineers, materials scientists, tissue engineering researchers, regenerative medicine clinicians, and bioprinting professionals looking to the next frontier of biocomposites and cutting-edge 3D and 4D printing technologies for next-generation therapeutic and clinical applications.
