no date, presumed circa 1937. Color illustrated wraps depicting a young woman in a swimsuit against a somewhat modernist/Art Deco backdrop of buildings (this image was also used for the program accompanying the 1939 World's Fair in New York. Small folio. 32 pp. Black and white photos throughout. A piece promoting Billy Rose's Aquacade show that was to play during the second year of the Great Lakes Exposition, which was held in 1936 and 1937. This was the premiere of the show, although it gained fame at the 1939 World's Fair in New York. The program includes biographies of the stars, Eleanor Holm, a former Olympic and world record holder swimmer, and Johnny Weissmuller (known for his role as Tarzan, as well as being a champion swimmer). GOOD condition. Minor fading and soiling to the covers, a bit heavier to the rear. Moderate to heavy wrinkling and creasing along the edges. Minor scattered foxing in the interior.
