About the Author: Sean Yates is a former professional cyclist and head sporting director at Team Sky. During a highly successful cycling career, he became only the third British rider to wear the yellow jersey in the Tour de France, which he rode twelve times, before a career in team management beckoned. This culminated in overseeing Bradley Wiggins' success at both the 2012 Tour de France and the London Olympic Games.
