A machine in the sky. A secret in the trees. Two worlds are about to collide.
Bog has spent his whole life staying unseen.
Hidden deep in Cedar Ridge, his clan moves along the Veil Path-an ancient, living trail that folds the forest around them. With Piney the anxious squirrel at his shoulder and Nana Moss's teachings in his bones, Bog knows the rules: stay cold, stay quiet, never lead danger home.
Then a metal sky-stinger-part mosquito, part machine-cuts through the forest, hunting heat and light. It's not just looking. It's tracking. And someone on the human ridge has just knocked it out of the sky.
At the campground below, Charlie is done with blurry footprints and campfire stories. Armed with a drone, a camera, and a stubborn need to prove Bigfoot is real, he'll hike past CLOSED signs and common sense to get the evidence he needs.
