About BiblioFile
The vast majority of my books came from my late parents. They had amassed several thousand within their lifetime. I too have been an avid reader/collector. This has been a hobby that has helped me to overcome a combination of personal and family circumstances. They have been a great comfort to me. Interests evolve and change, space becomes an increasing issue. My health has also taken a turn for the worse and it is good that I can offload some stock to others. Many end up in Charity shops, and that has been satisfying too. It is vital to recognise that the quoted Postal prices outside the UK are for a basic 800-gram parcel. NONE ARE FORMALLY INSURED. Size and Weight raise the price of Postage from the UK very considerably. Some addresses Within the UK are not classed as Mainland and can and do cost substantially more than Standard Mainland equivalents. I will do my best to ignore the disparity if possible. Then there is the question of Insurance. Problems with parcels are few. I use Tracked and Signed services for the more expensive items I usually use Royal Mail and well-known Couriers. I intend to keep my Postage Free within the UK, even as prices escalate. PLEASE SPECIFY IF YOU HAVE ANY SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS FOR RECEIVING THE BOOK "e.g. Leave in Porch, Garage, etc". I can put an instruction on the Parcel on your behalf. I like to describe books and provide images too. I have collected and accumulated books for over 50+ years, to 'love them, is to let them go'. Anyone purchasing books abroad must consider the size and weight of books, I try to keep costs to a minimum but I may ask for extra postage when necessary. In some instances, I may be able to absorb additional costs or offer to share any extra. It is great to find new homes for these books. WITHIN THE UK ALL BOOKS ARE POST FREE - usually, this will mean choosing the most economical postal method { mainly via 2nd Class but also using suitable tried and tested Couriers, etc } normanmacdonald0316@gmail.com 01352 810931 - Happy reading and collecting.
