Print on Demand. This book discusses the concept of premillennialism, a religious perspective rooted in early Christianity that emphasizes the imminent return of Jesus Christ. The author argues that this belief system, which anticipates a catastrophic end to the world and the establishment of a new, divine order by Christ, undermines social and political reforms aimed at improving the current state of humanity. The book examines the historical and theological development of premillennialism, situating it within the broader context of Christian eschatology. It delves into the ethical implications of the belief, highlighting the potential for pessimism and inaction in the face of worldly challenges. The author contends that premillennialism diverts attention from the pressing need for human effort and collective action in addressing global issues. The book concludes by emphasizing the importance of a more optimistic and proactive approach to societal problems, rooted in a belief in the power of human agency and the possibility of incremental progress. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…

Pacifism is a form of piety. It is a consecration of one's self to ideals one thinks men ought to have, and an avoidance of the hard tasks which must be done if such ideals are ever to be reached.
Pacifism is no more a national peace policy than piety is religion.
There are times when duty must be given priority over abstract ideals.
