For your journey through The Bible in a Year (with Fr. Mike Schmitz) podcast, this is your next step.
The Bible in a Year Study Guide is a companion to the chart-topping podcast The Bible in a Year (with Fr. Mike Schmitz)—but it’s not just a summary. It’s a tool designed to help individuals and groups delve even deeper into God’s Word and apply it to their lives.
Different from The Bible in a Year Companions, which follow a daily format, this Study Guide is organized weekly, offering a broader and more flexible structure for prayer, reflection, and discussion. Whether you're studying on your own or with a group, this guide will help you pause, process, and respond to the spiritual insights shared throughout the podcast.
Rooted in The Bible Timeline learning system developed by Jeff Cavins, both the podcast and this Study Guide follow a chronological approach to Scripture that reveals the amazing story of salvation history. This framework helps listeners and readers make sense of the narrative arc of the Bible, showing how God’s plan unfolds through time—and in our lives today.
Each week includes:
- Thought-provoking discussion questions for personal or group reflection
- Key Scripture verses to bring to prayer
- Inspiring example of saints who model the faith
- Catechism references to deepen your understanding
- Opening and closing prayers from Fr. Mike Schmitz
- Practical challenges and activities to help live out the message
This resource features original content contributed by Catholic writer Claire Couche, whose reflections and insights help bring Scripture to life and inspire meaningful change.
The Study Guide covers all 365 days of the podcast, structured to support a deeper, more prayerful, and transformative journey through Scripture.
