Let David Elkins, psychologist and former minister, show you how to find authentic, soul-nurturing spirituality outside church or temple walls. Discover your personal path to the sacred and explore new ways to bring nonreligious spirituality into your life.

A book for those who are "spiritual but not religious."
Robert Johnson, Jungian analyst and best-selling author of He, She, We, and other books, said that Beyond Religion has "depth, clarity, and an almost poetic style."

I wrote this book for those who find that traditional religion no longer meets their spiritual needs. The first half of the book describes the spiritual revolution of our day and redefines spirituality, the soul, and the sacred in nonreligious terms. The second half describes eight nonreligious paths to the sacred and shows readers how to develop a personal program for spiritual growth. While the book is based on scholarly foundations, it is highly accessible to the general reader. I believe you will find that this book touches your heart and nourishes your soul. Please feel free to contact me via e-mail with your comments about the book.
