Something has been buried. And Sara Jones is not the only one searching for it.
Sara Jones believed her life could be summed up in a single word: survival.
Trapped in the routine of a quiet town in Oregon, she was convinced there was nothing beyond those hills. Until one unexpected discovery shatters everything she thought she knew about herself.
Forgotten memories resurface. A broken bond. A name she hasn't spoken in years: Dante.
Before vanishing without a trace, her grandmother, Abigail Jones, left behind a trail of riddles, ancient artifacts, and long-buried secrets that were never meant to be uncovered. When Sara finds the first piece of the puzzle, she makes a life-changing decision: to leave everything behind and follow the trail.
From Portland to Los Angeles, her search becomes a journey across America through forgotten places, ancient relics, and mysteries connected to something far greater than she ever imagined.
Along the way, she meets Zoelle, an enigmatic traveler who becomes her guide, her ally... and something more. But they are not the only ones following the trail. Someone is willing to do whatever it takes to keep the truth buried.
Beyond Those Hills is the first novel in the Trails She Blazed saga: a cinematic mystery adventure blending archaeological discoveries, road-trip exploration, supernatural suspense, and a slow-burn sapphic romance into an unforgettable journey across America.
Some truths change what you know.
Others change who you become.
