Paperback. Primary teeth have unique anatomy with thin dentin, ribbon-shaped canals, and ongoing root resorption, making disinfection challenging. Beyond the Flush: A Critical Insight into Irrigating Agents in Pediatric Endodontics highlights irrigation as the cornerstone of pediatric root canal success. The book reviews key irrigants such as sodium hypochlorite, EDTA, and chlorhexidine, along with herbal options like Morinda citrifolia, neem, propolis, and Aloe vera. It also explores cutting-edge advances, including nanoparticle-based solutions and ozone therapy for superior antimicrobial efficacy and biocompatibility. Beyond irrigants, practical guidance is provided on modern delivery devices-negative-pressure systems, sonic and ultrasonic activation, and laser-assisted irrigation-emphasizing their role in enhancing safety and cleaning efficiency. Designed for dental students, pediatric dentists, and endodontic specialists, this book bridges research and practice, showing that irrigation is more than flushing debris-it is the key to predictable outcomes and preserving young smiles.
