About the Author
AUTHOR & SPEAKER / EXTRAORDINARY CENTENARIAN / KIBBUTZ PIONEER / WW II VETERAN BRITISH INTELLIGENCE / INTERIOR DESIGNER /
Haymann was born in 1921 in Berlin, into a German-Jewish family. At sixteen, he escaped Nazi Germany to British Palestine, where he became a Kibbutz pioneer, drying the swamps. As World War II developed, and the Nazi Army under Rommel's command landed in Africa, he enlisted in the British Army and fought in Africa, Italy, and Greece, as a member of the British Intelligence Service, and participating in the Battle of Anzio and the liberation of Rome. He was 23 years old. Meanwhile, his family had managed to escape to faraway Chile. At the end of the war, after 10 years of separation, he visited them and settled there, becoming an Interior Designer. Years later, he decided to write his story, now published world-wide.

He is active as an Author and Speaker, in person or virtually, in schools, cultural institutions, military entities, and public or private events, he shares his story, the events he witnessed and acted on, and inspire others on resilience, values, and quality longevity.
