Paperback. Beverley, founded around AD 700 by St John of Beverley during the time of the Anglian kingdom of Northumbria, was an important centre of trade from the Middle Ages onwards. Beverley developed a considerable industrial base and enjoyed yet another boom in the Georgian period to become the social and legal capital of the East Riding of Yorkshire. This famous market town and civil parish, home to many music and food festivals, is explored in Beverley History Tour using old images of wonderfully noteworthy places, including the minster, North Bar and the racecourse. A guided tour of this historic town, showing how the areas you know and love have transformed over the centuries. Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.
