Better to Be Pissed Off Than Pissed On is a humorous collection of observational essays about modern life and the everyday frustrations people quietly learn to accept.Gregory Jerman examines broken systems, customer service culture, workplace jargon, social media behavior, bureaucracy, performative outrage, and the growing gap between how things should work and how they actually do.Blending humor, relatable experiences, and candid commentary, these essays explore the absurdity hidden inside ordinary situations and the small inconveniences that increasingly define modern life. This is not a self-help book or a guide to positivity. Instead, it offers a sharp, funny, and honest look at the nonsense, contradictions, and frustrations many people recognize but rarely say out loud.Ideal for readers who enjoy observational humor, conversational storytelling, and comedic reflections on everyday life. This turns daily frustration into laughs for anyone who's asked why life is so hard This item is printed on demand. Modern life somehow turned every simple task into a supervised activity.
Better to Be Pissed Off Than Pissed On is a sharp, funny collection of observational essays about the everyday nonsense people are expected to tolerate politely.
Self-checkout machines that still require an employee. Delivery updates that say everything except where the package is. Customer service responses that apologize without fixing anything. Workplace buzzwords. Password resets. Public stupidity. Bureaucratic nonsense. Social media behavior. All the little moments that make a person look around and think, “I know I’m not the only one seeing this.”
This is not a self-help book. There are no breathing exercises, productivity hacks, or lessons about gratitude.
It’s a humor book about modern life, broken systems, ridiculous expectations, and the quiet suspicion that being annoyed might just mean you’re paying attention.
If you’ve ever been told to “calm down” while being clearly surrounded by nonsense, this book is probably for you.
