Paperback. The world is a dangerous place for children. They need love. They need mercy. They need charity. And too often desperate families turn to a government agency like the Department of Human Services for help. The stories in this collection are told by a veteran social worker and minister. Following the day-to-day life of Bill Miller, a social worker with a caseload to try the patience of a saint, these stories reveal the human truth of social work and describe the heartbreaking plight of our most vulnerable with hope and love and humor."It would be better for them to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around their neck than to cause one of these little ones to stumble." -Luke 17:2 This item is printed on demand.
